Manavata in Education

Personality Development Programs (PDP) :

Manavata’s “Inspire” Seminars and ‘Personality Development workshops’ target character building in the youth. The workshops and sessions are facilitated through qualified and inspirational volunteers. Youth Leadership 5 day workshops, trains youth to be leaders, to be self-reliant and socially responsible. Manavata has reached over 100,000 students through these programs in India, UK, USA, China, Japan, Turkey and Nepal.

Value-Based Education :

‘Manavata’s Academy of Human Excellence’ (MAHE) provides value based education to children in a free weekend school. Manavata’s program creates an environment of excellence. The program inculcates values, makes children self-confident, responsible and disciplined. Children learn soft skills, techniques to sharpen memory and become proactive and intelligent.

School Adoption :

Manavata’s ‘School Adoption’ project improves quality of education for poor students. Manavata volunteers help students in government schools and offer computer literacy classes to primary, secondary and high school students. Volunteers donate computers, organize training for teachers and provide necessary study material for students (Multimedia CDs etc). So far 2500 poor students have benefited from this program through Manavata’s free note books, study centers and teaching.

Self-Employment Training :

Manavata offers free 2 month, full-time vocational courses for Electricians, Refrigeration technicians, Air-conditioning technicians, Multimedia/Computer Hardware and DTP professionals. Aimed at economically backward candidates, aged between 15 and 25 years, with a minimum of 8th standard qualification, the program has trained over 1000 people and has helped over 350 candidates earn their livelihoods. It runs on referrals and sponsorship.

Self-Employment Program for Women (Swashakthi) :

“Swasakthi” empowers village women from poor economical backgrounds. After training women in sewing and handloom skills training, Manavata volunteers help trainees organize Manavata Mahila Samstha (MMS) groups to sustain earnings and livelihoods. So far 350 women have benefited from ‘Swasakthi’ training and are earning their livelihood. Trainees manufacture Manavata’s eco-friendly cloth bags – thereby helping to sustain their livelihood and also spread Manavata’s message about no-plastic bags
